Okanuii Club Balsa Pig Vintage Surfboard

Balsa Pig, Okanuii Club Vintage Surfboard, late 50's. Shaped by Roger Kieren. When the owner bought this board many years ago, it had a white gel coat all over it. They used to do this in the late 50's because they considered the natural marks in the balsa wood to be classed as a second, so they coloured it. Or if someone in the 60's couldn't afford a new board, they would colour the board. About 20 years ago, the owner removed the colour gel coat, and saw how good the balsa was. So it is all original balsa with a finish coat and polish, with the original logo. Extremely rare.
